The Principle of the Seed


1. God starts with seeds

Then God said, "Let the earth produce plants--some to make grain for seeds and others to make fruits with seeds in them. Every seed will produce more of its own kind of plant." And it happened. The earth produced plants with grain for seeds and trees that made fruits with seeds in them. Each seed grew its own kind of plant. God saw that all this was good. (Gen 1:11-12 NCV)

You are a leader. People follow you. Even though you think you are small and insignificant, you are a hero to smaller people still. When you lose your grip, the impact of your fall is bigger to them.

Don’t ever lose your hold on God; hold fast and firm. You may be able to rouse yourself, bounce back and get on your feet, but perhaps they won’t. Or they can’t.

Treasures from Strangers

“They came to the house where the child was and saw him with his mother, Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. They opened their gifts and gave him treasures of gold, frankincense, and myrrh." (Mat 2:11 NCV)

When Jesus was about 2 years of age, a group of Magi came to where He was, opened their treasures, and gave lavishly to Him. This enormous gift financed His childhood, and maybe even up to His early adult life.
