Wise Up and Wear a Crown of Wealth

"The wealth of the wise is their crown, but the folly of fools yields folly." [Prov 14;24 NIV]

Some people who are held wise do not have a crown. Sad to say, they are poor. Being wise and poor present complications. And that, in itself, is a paradox.

How can someone wise be poor? Can’t the wise use their wisdom to avoid poverty?

The Seed-Giver and the Sowers

"Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness." (2 Cor 9:10 NIV)

 

It begins, continues and ends with God. When we have a need, we can pray to ask God for a seed. That seed is not enough to meet our need, so we don’t eat it – we plant it.
