My Top 3 Life Principles

Posted by cr0cus (Bro Henry) on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, In : Live Teach Repeat

Once, a scholar asked, “Mentor, which is the greatest principle of life?” The Master replied, “You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind. This is the first and greatest principle. And the second is like it: 'Love others as yourself.' All life-giving principles are based on these two.” (see Matthew 22:36-40)

Love God, Love self and others, and Obey God.

This metonymy was derived from the Lifebook, the Book of Principles – the Holy Bible. ...

We all have religion, but we are not all religious. Just because we have a form of religion does not mean we are spiritual - even atheists have a devotion, a denial of deity. (see Psalm 14:1)

A reputable dictionary1 traces this relic of a word to Latin, having the meaning "obligation" and "reverence." It is like opening a door to a room full of closed doors, an answer that stirs up a hornet's nest of questions: "Obligation to whom? Reverence for whom?"

Help the helpless, and stay clean and ...

Our FATHER Heals Us Of Infertility

Posted by cr0cus (Bro Henry) on Saturday, March 12, 2022, In : Our Baby Promise

Abraham prayed to God, and God healed Abimelech, and his wife, and his female servants, and they bore children. For God had made every woman infertile in the household of Abimelech, because of Sarah, Abraham's wife. [Genesis 20:17-18 NHEB]

The Lord God is the True Healer of the Womb.

In this chapter, it was wrong for Abraham to make his wife a shield to protect his own life by saying they're just siblings, and not as married couples. With this lie and outright deceit, the king of the land...

Being On God’s Side: The Nonpartisan Obedience And Submission of The Elect

My choice of candidate is only as good as when I vote. My vote is only as good as when it is counted. But when the tally comes, my choice is irrelevant – God decides who is king.

Every person is to be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God. (Romans 13: 1 NASB)

Our future does not depend on the person who gets elected, but on the One who sits on the Throne.

If God has already decided, then why do I need to...

Our FATHER Grants Us A Baby To Teach

I've chosen him so that he will teach his sons and their families to follow the way of the Lord by doing what is right and good, so that I, the Lord, can do for Abraham what I promised. [Genesis 18:19 FBV]

The Lord does more than just fulfill His baby promise, He also plans ahead for these children and the generations afterward to be taught concerning the things of God. There is a proper way to worship Him, and that established structure is needed to be taught. The Sovereign Lord will al...

Have you ever stopped to wonder what it is like to give birth in a stable? Have you heard of anyone born in a cattle house, and placed in a feeding box?
As a city boy, I find it cruel to know that someone has to give birth or be born in such gruesome conditions. I thought even homeless folks could go to a public hospital for that.

Now that you’re planting seeds for a future harvest, we must verify that the ground will yield a desirable outcome.

There are different kinds of soil, as typified in Matthew 13. Each type of s...

Posted by bro cr0cus on Wednesday, December 11, 2013, In : Seed & Harvest

Sowers are special to God
Let each one [give] as he has made up his own mind and purposed in his heart, not reluctantly or sorrowfully or under compulsion, for God loves (He takes pleasure in, prizes above other things, and is unwilling to abandon or to do without) a cheerful (joyous, “prompt to do it”) giver [whose heart is in his giving]. (2 Corinthians 9:7 AMP)

There are only a dozen verses and categories where the Bible explicitly showed what or who God loves, and one of them is a cheer...

The Seed Principle

The Bible is our reference for Christian Economics and financial progress. The Word of God is full of revelations concerning prosperity waiting to be uncovered by every generous child of the Father. And it all starts with a seed.

Spiritual Seeds

God’s Word is a seed.
The farmer sows the word. (Mark 4:14 GWT)

Thoughts on Mistakes in the Ministry

Posted by cr0cus . on Thursday, November 1, 2012, In : Undershepherds

My God does not make mistakes; I do. He did not make a mistake to call me in the ministry; I did - I failed.

But my failure does not nullify God's call - it just proves so even more. It emphasizes how much the Lord has entrusted me with His mission of touching lives.

A failure in the ministry due to 'trying' is something we can all move on with. We are but oil lamps that need to be refilled with the Holy Spirit.

But there is a form of failure when God, the Master Employer, decides to fire His s...

The Living God and the God of the Living

"And regarding your speculation on whether the dead are raised or not, don't you read your Bibles? The grammar is clear: God says, 'I am--not was--the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, the God of Jacob.' The living God defines himself not as the God of dead men, but of the living." (Mat 22:31-32 MSG)

Christian teachers should read their Bibles, everyday. Also, reading an English Bible has an academic benefit: It helps grow our grammar skills. In turn, correct grammar helps us study th...

"Be careful about the way you live and about what you teach. Keep on doing this, and you will save not only yourself, but the people who hear you." (1 Tim 4:16 CEV)

As Christian teachers, we teach by example and we practice what we teach.

Teaching is a tool and means to get people saved - most specially when teaching English in EFL countries.

"The Pharisees and the teachers of the Law are experts in the Law of Moses. So obey everything they teach you, but don't do as they do. After all, they say one thing and do something else." (Mat 23:2-3 CEV)

Teaching requires modeling. The student-listener, even the worst kind of them, would naturally expect his respectable teacher to tell the truth, and to practice what they teach.

People are not just looking for an opinion; they are searching for a leader to follow. Be the kind of teacher ...

The Poor in Spirit

"God blesses those who realize their need for him, for the Kingdom of Heaven is given to them." (Mat 5:3 NLT)

Traditional spirituality can be debilitating. The Bible did not say that "God blesses the poor just because they are poor." But as it turned out, people have this idea that it is spiritual to be poor. And so it became: the poorer you are, the more spiritual you are.

No, that is just not true. What Jesus taught was about being "poor in spirit." It is recognition of our need for God, ...

The Principle of the Seed

1. God starts with seeds

Then God said, "Let the earth produce plants--some to make grain for seeds and others to make fruits with seeds in them. Every seed will produce more of its own kind of plant." And it happened. The earth produced plants with grain for seeds and trees that made fruits with seeds in them. Each seed grew its own kind of plant. God saw that all this was good. (Gen 1:11-12 NCV)

The H2O in Water Baptism

Water baptism is immersion under water. The water used is not significant; it’s the obedience that matters to God. There is no such thing as ‘holy water.’ We are the ‘holy’ or impure that makes water or any other material thing as ‘holy’ or impure. Physical water only cleanses our body, and not our souls. However, water baptism cleanses our minds and the inclination of our hearts.

It is an instinct that God initiated within us; we are designed to pray. We are creatures of habitual prayers, and we just haven’t recognized it yet.
